Building Stronger Reefs with Rapid Growth and Lasting Protection
Ocean Gardener x ClubOcean®
With the new Mineral Accretion Technology nursery now installed, Ocean Gardener has continued its coral restoration efforts at full pace this month. Since the beginning of July, their team has planted 487 corals, while also removing coral predators from the reef, collecting 5 Crown of Thorns starfish and 115 Drupella snails that feed on corals. This dedication ensures stronger and healthier reefs for the future, making a lasting impact beneath the waves. 🌊🪸🐠

Many Visitors and Fascinating Polar Bear Behavior
Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat x ClubOcean®
This month, Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat welcomed over 1,200 visitors during one of its busiest weekends yet, as part of the Heritage Days festival and the 3rd Annual Western Gaming Show. While not directly linked to polar bears, these community events offer vital funding that directly supports the care of the bears and their environment.
July also brought unique wildlife behaviour visitors tuning into the Davis Enclosure live camera might have seen the bears enjoying cattails along the lakeshore. Though polar bears are carnivores, they’ve taken a liking to these freshwater plants, spending time in the shallows pulling up and eating the sweet, starchy roots. It’s a small but fascinating glimpse into their adaptability and curiosity.🧊🐾

Shark Awareness and Cleanup Action This Month
Shark Guardian x ClubOcean®
This month, Shark Guardian has been actively engaging with the community through a series of shark presentations, both in person and online. These sessions aim to educate and inspire people about shark conservation. In Thailand, two volunteer groups per month are welcomed to take part in citizen science workshops and awareness activities. With the monsoon season bringing more marine debris ashore, Shark Guardian has also intensified efforts on beach cleanups, helping reduce the impact of waste on coastal ecosystems. Through education and hands-on action, Shark Guardian continues to empower communities to protect the ocean.

Community Unites for Successful Beach Cleanup and Waste Reduction
R.O.L.E Foundation x ClubOcean®
In July, the R.O.L.E. Foundation led a successful cleanup at Kelan Beach with 59 participants, including volunteers, Bali WISE students, and Kasih Karunia Children’s Foundation.In just one hour, the team collected 215.2 kg of waste, mainly residue (55.46%) and hard plastics (15.06%). All waste will be responsibly sorted and sent to local recycling centers or landfills. This effort, in partnership with Kasih Karunia orphanage and UMISAKURA Japan, reflects strong community engagement and environmental commitment.🌊♻️

Successful Hatchling Releases and Ongoing Turtle Conservation Efforts
Dekafok x ClubOcean®
In July, Dekafok continued its vital work in protecting sea turtles. So far, hatchlings from 200 nests have safely reached the sea, with over 10,000 hatchlings released. Another 470 nests are still awaiting hatching.
170 new nests were created this month, bringing the total to 670. Despite some challenges, such as treating six injured turtles (two of which sadly passed away from boat propeller strikes), the rest were released in good health.
Beach cleanups are ongoing, and while not as focused as during the winter months, efforts continue to ensure safe beaches for the turtles.🌍💙

Morigenos Advances Dolphin Conservation with Ongoing Monitoring
MORIGNEOS x ClubOcean®
This month, Morigenos continued its regular monitoring of bottlenose dolphins in the Gulf of Trieste through both land-based and boat-based fieldwork. The team collected important data on dolphin presence, behaviour, and group composition, reinforcing Morigenos’ commitment to protecting the local population.
Each week, Morigenos also joined a local tourist boat to deliver lectures and raise awareness about dolphins and the marine environment, strengthening the connection between people and the sea.🐬🌊🚤
