Coral Planting in Full Swing After the Rain

With the rainy season now over, Ocean Gardener has resumed its coral restoration work at full pace. This April, their team returned to the waters off Bali, planting nearly 200 corals per day—a remarkable effort to rebuild and protect reef ecosystems. Their dedication continues to make a lasting impact beneath the surface. 🌤️🪸

Patrols and Education Ahead of Nesting Season
DEKAFOK x ClubOcean®
Dekafok launched its first turtle patrols of the season, with hopes high as the first nest is expected any day now. The team also focused on education and outreach, training 852 people, including local authorities, students, and other organizations. With the tourism season now open, they inform up to 1,000 visitors daily at their new center. In addition, recycling bins were installed around the facility. 🐢♻️

eDNA Research and Education Amid Unstable Weather

In April, Morigenos focused primarily on collecting eDNA samples—a non-invasive method that helps identify species present in the water through traces of genetic material. Due to unstable weather conditions, the team also dedicated more time to education and public awareness, continuing to spread knowledge about dolphin conservation and the importance of protecting marine biodiversity. 🧬🐬

In April, the Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat embraced the arrival of spring by enhancing enrichment activities for their resident polar bears, Ganuk and Henry. The bears enjoyed exploring their expansive 24-acre naturalistic habitat, engaging with new stimuli designed to promote their physical and mental well-being. Additionally, the Habitat focused on community engagement, preparing for upcoming events aimed at educating the public about polar bear conservation and the challenges these majestic animals face in the wild. Through these efforts, the Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat continues its mission to provide exceptional care for polar bears and to foster a deeper understanding of their species among visitors. 💙🐻
